Chapter 4 — Mists of Deception
The Ravine held its own weather. By the last hour before dawn the mist had come up off the stream and filled the gorge to the rim, so that from above it looked like a long white wound in the forest floor, and the pines on the far lip stood out of it as though they had been cut off at the knee.
